120 Victoria School students shine at the casting day for the musical "The Enchanted Crossbow"

On February 21st, the casting session for Victoria School’s musical "The Enchanted Crossbow" took place at the Saigon South campus.

With the goal of creating a professional artistic playground for students, Victoria School has partnered with the Vietnam Youth Theatre to organise a Student Musical Programme, inspired by the legendary tale of 'The Enchanted Crossbow'. The production is being professionally directed, featuring renowned artists in the industry.

The casting day was a truly explosive event, bringing together 120 talented contestants, each showcasing their unique styles and personalities. More than just an audition, this was a journey of self-discovery, where students had the opportunity to express their passion for performing arts and demonstrate their stage confidence.

Guided by a panel of distinguished mentors, including Artist Lê Ánh Tuyết, singer and educator Nguyễn Trần Trung Quân, choreographer Nguyễn Vũ Khánh, singer Noah Quốc Anh, and singer Quinzel Nguyễn, the contestants excelled in singing, dancing, and acting. Notably, the students’ fluent English communication skills left a strong impression, allowing them to confidently present their performances and engage with the judges.

The casting featured numerous outstanding performances, with highlights including Izara Thiên Nga, a musical prodigy skilled in violin, guitar, piano, and drums, who also speaks multiple languages fluently. Her performance was filled with depth and emotion, captivating both the audience and the judges. Meanwhile, Andy Lương, a professional dancer, stunned everyone with his flawless, dynamic moves and commanding stage presence. Another standout was Thư Kỳ, a promising young actress whose expressive and emotional acting talent made her a strong contender for a lead role. Alongside them, many other contestants delivered cinematic performances, fully immersing themselves in their characters and showcasing exceptional artistic potential.
