About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Primary Teacher to deliver Cambridge Primary subjects including Mathematics, English, Global Perspectives, and ICT. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in education, a passion for student development, and the ability to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the Cambridge International Curriculum for Primary students.

  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments; manage student learning progress.

  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs, learning styles, and interests of students.

  • Track and evaluate student performance through formative and summative assessments; provide timely and constructive feedback.

  • Establish and maintain high standards for behavior, engagement, and academic achievement.

  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to support student progress and address concerns.

  • Design and implement remedial or enrichment programs for students requiring additional support.

  • Participate in staff meetings, ongoing professional development, training workshops, and school-wide events.

  • Contribute to extracurricular programs, including clubs, school competitions, and community service projects.

  • Undertake other professional responsibilities as assigned by School Leadership.

  • Work hours: Max 48 hours/week, scheduled by the School Board.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (preference given to candidates with a major in Primary Education).

  • Valid teaching license/certification is required.

  • A Master’s degree is an advantage.

  • At least 2 years of full-time teaching experience at the primary level after obtaining a teaching qualification.

  • Prior experience with the Cambridge International Curriculum is highly preferred.

  • Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.

  • Flexible, patient, and passionate about working with young learners.

  • A collaborative team player with a proactive and positive mindset.

Victoria School is committed to child protection and safeguarding. All positions are subject to background checks, including reference checks and a clean criminal record.

 

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: Competitive and negotiable (based on qualifications and experience).

  • Summer Break: 4 weeks per academic year, arranged by the School Board in accordance with the academic calendar.
