About the Role

Key Responsibilities

A. On-Premise Infrastructure Operations (Primary Focus)

  • Operate and maintain campus IT infrastructure.
  • Maintain physical and virtual servers.
  • Maintain network devices and firewalls.
  • Administer Windows Server and Linux systems.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP services.
  • Operate file servers, NAS, and backup systems.
  • Manage VLAN segmentation and basic routing.
  • Configure firewall rules and VPN connections (site-to-site and remote access).
  • Separate staff, student, and guest networks.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents at school campuses.

 

B. Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)

  • Deploy and operate workloads on AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM).
  • Perform backup, snapshot, and restore operations.
  • Monitor cloud resources and configure alerts.
  • Support hybrid connectivity between on-premise and cloud via VPN.
  • Follow existing security baselines and operational standards.

 

C. Google Workspace & Collaboration Tools

  • Support daily operation of Google Workspace.
  • Manage users and groups in Google Workspace.
  • Perform basic administration and access control tasks.
  • Configure Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Meet based on guidelines.
  • Support Google Classroom setup for teachers.
  • Troubleshoot Google Classroom usage and access issues.
  • Coordinate with academic and operations teams to resolve technical issues.

 

D. Monitoring, Security & Operations Support

  • Monitor infrastructure and service availability.
  • Monitor storage usage and backup status.
  • Monitor network and system performance.
  • Assist with log collection and basic audit support.
  • Handle incidents following existing procedures.
  • Support phishing, malware, and endpoint security issues.
  • Escalate issues and provide clear technical reports when required.

 

E. Documentation & Technical Support

  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Develop SOPs and operational checklists.
  • Prepare incident and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide Tier-2 and Tier-3 technical support for staff and teachers.
  • Participate in deployment of new school campuses.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience in IT Infrastructure or System/Network Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux.
  • Solid knowledge of network fundamentals (L2/L3), firewall rules, and VPN.
  • Experience with backup and monitoring systems.
  • Practical experience operating AWS
  • Experience with Google Workspace for Education.
  • Comfortable working with procedures and operational standards.
  • Must have or obtain the Google Workspace administration certificate before the end of the probationary period.
