About the Role

The ICT Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality ICT lessons aligned with the school curriculum, fostering students’ digital literacy, computational thinking, and technology skills. The role involves designing engaging learning activities, integrating technology into teaching, assessing student performance, and ensuring effective classroom management.

 

Key Responsibilities

A. Teaching & Learning

  • Deliver ICT lessons based on the approved school curriculum and learning objectives.

  • Design structured lesson plans, teaching slides, worksheets, and digital learning activities.

  • Teach essential ICT skills such as typing, digital safety, productivity tools (Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides).

  • Introduce coding and computational thinking using age-appropriate platforms (Scratch, Blockly, Python basics…).

  • Integrate STEM/STEAM concepts into ICT lessons when appropriate.

  • Conduct project-based learning (PBL) activities such as digital posters, animations, simple apps or games.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs and levels.

B. Assessment & Student Progress

  • Develop and administer quizzes, assignments, and digital projects.

  • Assess student performance using rubrics and learning standards.

  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.

  • Maintain student records and report cards on schedule.

C. Classroom Management

  • Maintain a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.

  • Ensure appropriate and safe use of computers and devices.

  • Apply classroom rules and behavior management strategies effectively.

D. Technology Integration & Support

  • Integrate educational technology tools into teaching.

  • Support school-wide digital initiatives (e-learning, digital citizenship, coding events).

  • Collaborate with the ICT/Academic team to improve curriculum and lesson resources.

E. Professional Development

  • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and curriculum meetings.

  • Stay updated on new technologies, digital tools, and ICT teaching strategies.

  • Engage in continuous self-improvement to enhance teaching effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or related fields.
  • At least 1–2 years of teaching ICT to students (Primary/Secondary preferred).
  • Strong ICT knowledge: coding basics, computer usage, digital tools.

  • Effective classroom management.

  • Ability to design engaging digital learning activities.

  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Passion for teaching and working with children.

  • Professional, responsible, patient, and student-centered.

  • Able to use English for basic communication is an advantage.
