This privacy policy describes how VICTORIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL COMPANY LIMITED and Victoria Schools collect and use personal data from Parents and Students in Victoria School's websites, applications, products and services (hereinafter referred to as “Services”).

This Privacy Policy does not apply to any products, services, websites or content offered by third parties or those that have their own privacy policies.

Victoria School collects personal data from Parents and Students in the process of providing Victoria School Services to Parents and Students. 

Below are the sources of information collected by Victoria School: 

  • Information Parents and Students Provide to Us: We collect any information provided by Parents and Students related to Victoria School Services. 
  • Automated data collection: Victoria School automatically collects certain types of information when Parents and Students interact with the Victoria School Services. For example: Information when signing the Admission Agreement.
  • Information from other sources: Victoria School may collect information about Parents and Students from other sources, including service providers, partners and publicly available sources.  

Victoria School uses the personal data of Parents and Students to operate, provide and improve the Services. Victoria School's purposes of using personal data include:  

  • Providing Services: Victoria School uses the personal data of Parents and Students to handle issues related to the process of providing and using the Services, including but not limited to registration, usage, and participation in preferential policies and payment programmes. 
  • Analysing, supporting and improving the Services: Victoria School uses the personal data of Parents and Students to analyse usage and effectiveness to improve the quality and development of the Services. 
  • Making recommendations and personalising the user experience: Victoria School uses Parents' and Students' personal data to recommend Services that may be of interest to Parents and Students, identify preferences and personalise the user experience for Parents and Students. 
  • Complying with legal obligations: In certain circumstances, we have a legal obligation to collect, use or store the personal data of Parents and Students. For example: Information when signing the Admission Agreement.
  • Communicating with Parents and Students: Victoria School uses the personal data of Parents and Students to communicate through various channels (e.g. phone, email) and to respond to Parents and Students’ enquiries. 
  • Marketing: Victoria School uses the personal data of Parents and Students to carry out communication and promotion of Services and educational programmes in accordance with the law. We may display advertisements related to educational programmes and Services based on the interests of Parents and Students.
  • Preventing fraud and abuse, and managing credit risk: Victoria School uses Parents' personal data to prevent and detect fraud and abuse to protect the safety of our customers, our organisation and other parties. Victoria Schools may also use scoring methods to assess and manage credit risk.

Some specific purposes require the consent of Parents and Students: Victoria School may seek consent from Parents and Students to use personal data for a specific purpose when we contact you.

Victoria School uses cookies, pixels and other similar technologies (hereinafter referred to as “cookies”) to recognise Parents' and Students' browsers or devices, learn more about Parents' and Students' preferences and provide essential features and services for other additional purposes, including: 

  • Identifying when Parents and Students log in to use the Service. This allows us to provide Parents and Students with recommendations, display personalised content, and provide other customized features and services. 
  • Recording the options that Parents and Students have approved. This allows us to respect Parents' and Students' likes and dislikes, such as the language and configuration that Parents and Students choose. 
  • Conducting research and analysis to improve the Services. 
  • Preventing academic misconduct, and virtual cookies. 
  • Improving security.
  • Providing content, including advertising, relevant to the interests of Parents and Students on our websites and third-party websites.
  • Measuring and analysing the quality of Services. 

Cookies allow Parents and Students to take advantage of some of our essential features. For example, if Parents and Students block or decline our cookies, Parents and Students may not be able to use certain products or services that require log-in, or Parents and Students may be required to manually adjust certain preferences or language settings each time you revisit our websites. 

Approved third parties may also set cookies when Parents and Students interact with the Services. These third parties typically include search engines, measurement and analytics providers, social networks and advertising companies. Third parties use cookies in the delivery of content, including advertising related to Parent and Student interests, to measure the effectiveness of advertising and to perform certain Services on our behalf.  

Parents and Students can manage browser cookies using your browser settings. The 'Help' feature on most browsers will tell Parents and Students how to prevent the browser from accepting new cookies, how to notify the browser when Parents and Students receive a new cookie, how to disable cookies, and when the cookie expires. If Parents and Students disable all cookies on their browsers, neither we nor third parties will be able to transfer cookies to the Parents' and Students' browsers. However, if Parents and Students do this, Parents and Students may have to manually adjust some preferences each time they revisit the site and some features and Services may not function.

Parent and Student Data is an important part of our operations. We do not sell the personal data of Parents and Students to others. We only share personal data as stated below. We also share personal data with Victoria School educational ecosystem and its subsidiaries, which are subject to this Privacy Policy or similar policies: 

  • Transactions Involving Third Parties: We provide Parents and Students with services, software and content provided by third parties for use on or through the Services. Parents and Students may know when a third party is involved in your transactions and we will share data related to those transactions with that third party. Parents whose children are studying at Victoria School will earn points on the VinID card when performing transactions related to Victoria School's Services.
  • Third-party service providers: We use and/or cooperate with other companies and individuals to carry out a number of tasks and programmes such as preferential policies and cross-selling, for Parents and Students. Some examples are exchanging information, processing payments, assessing credit risk and data compliance, providing marketing and sales support (including advertising and event management), customer relationship management and training. These third-party service providers have access to essential personal data necessary for proper functions, but may not use it for other purposes. In addition, they must comply with this Privacy Policy and related privacy laws. 
  • Protection of us and others: We release account information and other personal data when we believe it is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce or apply other terms and agreements or protect our rights, property or security, and those of our Parents and Students, or any other person. The above tasks may include exchanging information with other companies and organizations to prevent and detect fraud and reduce property and credit risks. 
  • Depending on the choices of Parents and Students: In addition to the above provisions, Parents and Students will receive notifications when your personal data may be shared with third parties, and Parents and Students will have the right to not consent to the sharing of information.

Victoria School is headquartered in Vietnam and our affiliated companies are located around the world. Depending on the scope of your interactions with our Services, your personal data may be stored in or accessed from many countries, including Vietnam. Whenever transferring personal data to other jurisdictions, Victoria Schools ensures that the information will be transferred in accordance with this Privacy Policy and as permitted by applicable data protection laws.

At Victoria School, security is our highest priority. Our system is designed to ensure the safety and privacy of Parents' and Students' data as the ultimate goal: 

  • We have appropriate technical and security measures to prevent unauthorized access and use of personal data. We also regularly coordinate with security experts to update the latest information on network security to ensure the safety of personal data. When collecting data, we store and secure personal data on the server, secure it with firewalls, access control and data encryption measures. 
  • Payment card information of Parents and Students issued by financial institutions is protected according to international standards with the cardholder data storage principal, where card number, cardholder name, and CVV are not stored on our system. Payment transactions of Parents and Students are made on the relevant bank's system.

Services may include third-party non-intrusive advertising and links to other websites and applications. Third-party advertising partners may collect your data when you interact with their content, advertisements or services.

Parents and Students may view, update and delete certain information about your accounts and your interactions with the Services. If Parents and Students are unable to access or update your information yourselves, you can always contact us for assistance. 

Parents and Students have many choices regarding the collection and use of your personal data. Many Services include functionality that gives Parents and Students options about how your personal data is being used. Parents and Students may choose not to provide certain information, but then Parents and Students may not be able to take advantage of certain Services. 

Account Information: If Parents and Students would like to add, update, or delete information related to your account, please email info@VictoriaSchool.edu.vn  When Parents and Students update or delete any information, we usually keep a copy of the previous version for technical reasons. 
 
Communication: If Parents and Students do not want to receive promotional content from us, please unsubscribe or adjust your communication preferences by sending an email to info@Victoria School.edu.vn (or other methods as specified in the relevant contract with Parents and Students). If Parents and Students do not want to receive in-app notifications from us, please adjust the notification settings in your app or device.
 
Advertisements: If Parents and Students do not want to see advertisements based on your own interests, please adjust by sending an email to info@victoriaschool.edu.vn.
 
Browsers and devices: The Help feature on most browsers and devices will tell Parents and Students how to prevent your browser or device from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify them when Parents and Students receive new cookies or how to completely disable cookies.

Persons under 18 years of age may only enter into a contract and accept this Privacy Policy with the consent of a parent or guardian.

Victoria School stores the personal data of Parents and Students to ensure Parents and Students' ability to continuously use the Services and stores it for the period necessary to achieve the specified goals in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law (including for tax and accounting purposes), or to carry out other tasks as notified to Parents and Students in advance. The length of time we retain specific personal data varies depending on the purpose of use, and we will delete the personal data of Parents and Students in accordance with applicable laws.

Our operations are constantly changing and this Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly, subject to approval by relevant parties. Parents and Students should visit and check our website and applications regularly to update the most recent changes. Unless otherwise stated, our current Privacy Policy applies to all personal data we have about Parents and Students and your accounts. Modifications to this Policy will in no event reduce the level of protection of personal data collected in the past without notice and your right to choose remains. 

We provide some additional information about the privacy, collection and use of personal data of our potential and existing customers in European Union countries. 

Controller of Personal Data: Victoria International School Company Limited (Ground Floor, PV Gas Tower, 673 Nguyen Huu Tho, Phuoc Kien Commune, Nha Be District, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) is the controller of personal data collected or processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

 
Processing: We process the personal data of Parents and Students based on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Essential to enter into a contract with Parents and Students or with the organization that Parents and Students represent, to carry out contractual obligations, to provide Services, to respond to requests from Parents and Students, or for customer support;
  • When we have a legitimate interest, as described in Section 2 of this Privacy Policy;
  • Essential to comply with laws and legal obligations;
  • To respond to legal requests;
  • Based on Parent and Student consent. 
Rights of Parents and Students: According to the law, Parents and Students have the following rights: 
  • Ask whether we hold personal data about you and request a copy of that personal data and information about how it is processed;
  • Request deletion of personal data that is no longer necessary for the purposes of the processing, data processing based on the consent that has been withdrawn, or data processed not in accordance with the regulation's provisions of current law;
  • Object to the processing of personal data;
  • Request the transfer of personal data that Parents and Students have provided to us (excluding information derived from the information collected), in case the processing of such personal data is performed on the basis of consent or contract with Parents and Students and performed automatically;
  • File a complaint with the competent authority if Parents and Students believe that we violate the privacy rights of Parents and Students.
 
Parents and Students may exercise the rights of access, correction, deletion, request for suspension, objection and request for transmission of data by contacting us. If Parents and Students wish to exercise any of the above rights and Parents and Students are our customers, please contact us. If Parents and Students are not our customers, please contact us at the address in Section 11 above. 

Where Parents and Students have consented to our processing of your personal data for a specific purpose, Parents and Students may withdraw that consent at any time and we will cease all processing activities for that purpose. 

Transfer of data outside the EU: When we transfer Parents' personal data collected and stored within the EU outside the EU, we will do so in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy and current data protection laws. This may include the transfer of data under data transfer agreements incorporating Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

Information Parents and Students Provide to Us. 


Parents and Students primarily provide information to us when:

  1. Search for, register for or use the Services;
    Create or manage Parent and Student accounts;
  2. Configure Parent and Student settings, provide data access, or otherwise interact with the Services;
  3. Register for or attend a Victoria School event;
  4. Buy or use content, products or Services from third-party providers through Victoria School websites or applications (or other similar locations operated or provided by us);
  5. Provide content, products or services to Parents and Students on or through the Services or websites, official pages or applications of Victoria School (or other similar locations operated or provided by us);
  6. Contact us through all official means such as customer service hotline, phone call, and email;
  7. Complete questionnaires or other information forms;
  8. Post content on websites, official pages or applications of Victoria School or similar locations

Depending on Parents and Students' use of the Services, Parents and Students may provide us with information such as: 

  1. Name, email address, physical address, phone number and other similar contact information;=
  2. Payment information, including credit card and bank account information;
    Information about the location of Parents and Students;
  3. Information about the Parent's company or organisation and contact points, such as co-workers or people within the Parent's company or organisation;
  4. Usernames, aliases, roles, and other authentication and security information;
  5. Feedback, testimonials, questions, and communication with us;
  6. Photos of Parents and Students (still, video and in some cases 3-D), voices and other personally identifiable characteristics of Parents and Students when attending a Victoria School event or using certain Services;
  7. Information related to identity, including government-issued identification information, and nationality. 
 
Automated collection of data. 
Victoria School primarily collects information automatically when Parents and Students: 
  1. Access, interact with or use the Services (including when Parents and Students use a computer or other device to interact with the Services);
  2. Download content from us;
  3. Open an email or click on a link in an email from us; and
  4. Interact or contact us. 
Examples of information we collect automatically: 
  1. Network and connection information, such as the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect the computer (or other device) to the Internet and information about the Parent and Student's Internet service provider;
  2. Computer and device information, such as device, application, or browser type and version, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system, or time zone settings;
  3. Location of Parent and Student devices or computers;
  4. Authentication and security information;
  5. Content interaction information, such as downloaded content, streams, and playback details, including duration and number of concurrent streams and downloads;
  6. Service metrics, such as product usage, technical errors, reports, Parent and Student settings, backup information, API calls, and other logs;
  7. What Parents and Students view or search for, website and application response times, and page interaction information (such as scrolling, and clicks);
  8. Email address and phone number used to contact us; and
  9. Identifiers and information contained in cookies.

Examples of information Victoria School collects from other sources: 
  1. Advertising and recruitment information, including name, email address, physical address, phone number and other similar contact information;
  2. Registration, purchase, support or other information about Parent and Student interactions with our products, services or third-party products related to the Services;
  3. Search results and links, including paid product and service listings (such as Sponsored Links).
