Aiming to kick off new year festivities, the international and multicultural experience event “Bloom & Grow" hosted by Victoria Saigon South School is now entering its final preparation stage, ready to welcome parents and students to attend on the upcoming January 14.
Bloom & Grow - a showcase of cultural activities for your kids
The multicultural “Bloom & Grow " event consists of a series of fascinating cultural traditions around the world. Coming to the event, parents and students can experience, put on traditional costumes, and participate in different cultural zones. At the event, you'll get to:
- Enjoy the British royal-style tea party with classic tea flavors
- Visit the world-renowned Times Square of America
- Decorate Matryoshka dolls - a cultural symbol of Russia
- Practice folding origami Koi fish and get introduced to the IKIGAI concept originating in Japan
- Put on the traditional costume Hanbok from Korea
- Design wreaths Finnish style, aka the happiest country in the world
- Make lanterns - a traditional feature of the Loy Krathong festival in Thailand
- Make handicraft products from coconut leaves by Vietnamese artisans
Besides the international booths, our school prioritizes strengthening Vietnamese cultural identity with "Tet Viet" activities to remind students of our roots. Accordingly, the “Bud Picking” experience with lucky red envelopes acts as a joy reminder for students about our nation's New Year traditions.
