At the same time, it marks a pivotal shift in parents' roles: from caregivers and guides to companions on this new path.   ![mother-daughter-studying-alphabet_1150-17765](https://victoriaschool.edu.vn/hs-fs/hubfs/mother-daughter-studying-alphabet_1150-17765.jpg?width=826&height=551&name=mother-daughter-studying-alphabet_1150-17765.jpg)   **1. Preparing Your Child Mentally:**   Before your child starts school, parents should talk about what they will experience in first grade: the rules, new friends, and the excitement of learning new things. These conversations can help reduce anxiety and increase enthusiasm for this new adventure.   **2. Equipping Your Child with Independence Skills:**   Teaching skills like dressing themselves, organizing school supplies, and eating lunch independently will help your child feel more confident in a new environment. These small yet essential habits significantly contribute to building self-assurance.   ![mother-daughter-spending-time-together-while-wearing-linen-clothing](https://victoriaschool.edu.vn/hs-fs/hubfs/mother-daughter-spending-time-together-while-wearing-linen-clothing.jpg?width=6000&height=4000&name=mother-daughter-spending-time-together-while-wearing-linen-clothing.jpg)   **3. Supporting Their Learning Journey:**   Create a supportive learning environment at home: ensure your child has a comfortable study corner, encourage them to set small goals, and praise their achievements. Reading books together or working on homework can also become valuable moments of connection.   **4. Patience and Flexibility:**   It’s natural for your child to feel overwhelmed or anxious during the early days. Parents should remain patient, encouraging, and adaptable when providing support. With love and careful preparation, parents can help their children embrace this milestone with confidence and enthusiasm.
